Job Purpose

To perform efficient and high standard Engineering Supervision as laid out in the NCAA CATS and CARS.

Key Responsibilities

To perform efficient and high standard Engineering Supervision as laid out in the NCAA CATS and CARS.

  • Resolves personnel and technical problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; and recommending action to RTS personnel, Maintenance Manager, and Quality Manager as required.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Ensures that any spare parts, components and components installed are always accompanied with the appropriate documentation, and that these are installed on the appropriately eligible aircraft.
  • Constant Liaison with Buyers – update daily parts delivery – expected arrival
  • Check and sign travellers for parts and labour on a job.
  • Ensure engineers do not overbook or overshoot hours allocated to a job.
  • Daily timesheet sign-off.
  • Co-ordinate inter-departmental maintenance activities to ensure minimum disruption to the operational program and on time delivery of aircraft.
  • Control and issuing of maintenance documentation work packs for aircraft to the relevant engineers.
  • Follow up daily on work progress. Answer calls and queries from customer.
  • Working with the Safety Manager to promote safety at any opportunity in their sections.
  • Ensuring safety audit and investigation recommendations are implemented.
  • Notifying the safety manager of any incidents, accidents and safety related events or violations and / or injuries.
  • Ensuring that all safety procedures applicable during hazardous tasks are strictly followed.

Requirements/ Experience

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License with appropriate aircraft type ratings.
  • A minimum of 5 years on the job Experience.
  • Be able to work under high pressure with a proactive and cooperative attitude towards the people this position requires to manage
  • 5 years of administration experience in a production environment, including:
  • Experience in maintenance programs (added advantage)
  • Required to be fluent in English both verbal and written.
  • Email etiquette as per company policy to be adhered
  • Ability to manage varying work levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft’s maintenance operation.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft IT tools and experienced with Quantum.
  • Good customer relationship

Qualification

  • Tertiary education – BSC/BA/HND/equivalent
  • MS (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
